Very basic but yet an effective course. An easy explanation of different processes of a Supply Chain. The mentor has explained everything through pictures and flow charts which made it easy to understand. He has also provided the slides used in the course for later reference. Good for anyone who is new to the Supply Cain. I really wish him to create a more detailed and advanced course.

With the advent of Artificial Intelligence, many are asking: what place is left for Industrial Engineering? The answer is clear: its role is more critical than ever.

AI is a powerful tool, but it’s not magic. It can’t optimize a process it doesn’t understand. This is where Industrial Engineering becomes the indispensable bridge between technology and operations.

Industrial Engineering has evolved:

  • From Data Analyst to Intelligent Systems Designer: The discipline is no longer limited to simple data collection. Now, its focus is on designing systems that use AI to analyze information in real time, predict failures, and optimize decision-making.
  • From Continuous Improvement to Predictive Optimization: Lean and Six Sigma methodologies are now enhanced by AI, allowing Industrial Engineering to move from reactively solving problems to anticipating bottlenecks and waste before they occur.
  • From Project Management to Digital Transformation Leadership: Implementing AI in the production plant or supply chain requires expert knowledge that understands the entire process, the impact on personnel, and the return on investment. Industrial Engineering is positioned as that leader.

In essence, Industrial Engineering is the discipline that lays the operational foundations so that AI is not just a technological investment, but a source of tangible and sustainable value. Its role is not obsolete; it is the key to the operational excellence of the future.
